Joe Fresh goods and New Balance incorporated key cultural and historical subjects into the world of footwear via the prism of Black creatives with the Conversations Amongst Us line. The ever-popular New Balance 550 and 2002R have previously been given to life in a cream and faded yellow style, but Joe now extends his vision to the performance realm with the New Balance KAWHI 2.

Kawhi Leonard, New Balance’s great basketball player, was a part of the first ad that sparked the conversation. Bringing that partnership full circle, Joe Fresh goods, Kawhi Leonard, and New Balance introduce the KAWHI 2, which has a cream top accentuated by an old yellow on the contrast stitching, broken midsole at the heel, and mesh underlay. The insole reads “Conversations Amongst Us,” while the tongue reads “Joe And Kawhi (c. 2022) A New Day.”
